Cost Share Program

The Lewis & Clark Conservation District Board of Supervisors has approved a Cost Share Program for 2016.  They have allocated $7500 of the budget for the year for project work by landowners.  Practices include–but are not limited to–culvert replacement, cross-fencing, riparian area fencing, grass and/or pollinator seeding, irrigation diversion improvements, tree/shrub planting, etc.  If you are interested, or know someone who might be, download the application and get it in to us.  If it’s a project that we can help with, we can provide up to 50% of the cost of the project or $2500, whichever comes first.  Multiple practices can be applied for on one application.

There is no deadline for these applications, but the project must be done this year and must be done in Lewis & Clark County on private land.  If necessary, a 310 permit (for work in or near a stream) must also be obtained through the Conservation District.
