Lake Helena Watershed Festival

The Conservation District was well-represented at Saturday's Lake Helena Watershed Festival at Women's Park in Helena.   Jeff Ryan, Supervisor, had a table showing off his willow soil lifts.          Chris Evans, CD Administrator, ran the Rolling Rivers Trailer for the day. Fortunately the rain overnight and snow in the hills helped clear out the smoke for the day.  It was a cool day, with very clear air and we had a nice turnout for the Festival!

Training in Kalispell…

Recently I got to spend the day out of the office, going to a training on WordPress in order to re-vamp the District's website.  While I am not a fan of summer, this was a beautiful drive from Helena, over Mac Pass and up the Seeley Swan.  The West side is even drier than the East side this year it appears. I got to see the newest fire area west of Colorado Gulch--still smoking!!!! The CD will soon be branching into a new arena of social networking.  Look for us on Facebook soon!
