The Lewis and Clark Conservation District is holding a public hearing on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 from 10 am to 11 am. This hearing will be held via Zoom conferencing.
There are 2 purposes to the hearing:
- The first portion from 10-10:30 will be to take public comment about the renewal of Conservation District Permissive Mill Levy for Employee Benefits. The current permissive levy for health benefits for the Conservation District’s 2 employees amounts to about $.50 per year for a $400,000 home.
- From 10:30 am to 11 am, the hearing will be to take public comment about the draft rules for implementation of the Natural Streambed and Land Preservation Act of 1975. Due to changes made in the last legislative session, it was required for the district to make adjustments to their rules.
