Bob Bushnell

Bob is shown here, 3rd from the right from a Board photo taken in 2016. Sad news today, Bob Bushnell, a former Supervisor for Lewis & Clark Conservation District, passed away recently.  Bob served on the Conservation District Board, an elected but unpaid position, for the Lincoln Area for 16 years. We appreciated his service and missed him when he retired. Bob's daughter Jeanette now serves on the board for the Lincoln Area. Bob will be best remembered at the Conservation District for his passion about the fight of invasive species, his unflinching support for our high school Envirothon teams,…

July Regular Board Meeting

The July regular board meeting has been changed to July 19, 2018 at 1 p.m. at the USDA Service Center Conference Room, 790 Colleen Street, Helena MT 59601.  The meeting will be preceded by the Lewis & Clark County Local Work Group meeting at 10:30 a.m.  The public is always welcome at any of the Conservation District meetings. Lewis & Clark Conservation District September Board Meeting

The Lewis & Clark Conservation District September board meeting will be held September 14, 2017 at 9:30 a.m.  Normally our September meetings are held in Lincoln, MT, but with the extreme fires going on, we don't want to add to the vehicle traffic chaos, so we will be having the meeting at the USDA Service Center, 790 Colleen Street, Helena MT 59601.  All meetings of the Conservation District are open to the public. Times they are a changing…or not.

At a recent board meeting, we had all seven board members there, so we took a few pictures.  I took me back a bit to the "old days" when I was a new administrator for this great bunch of supervisors.  There've been a few changes since 1999, including the loss of Ron Schatz who had served on the board for 30 years, since his dad--also a supervisor for many years--passed away and Jeff Ryan now serves in that area, Gary Murphy's retirement and Ron Ingersoll being elected, Bob Orr giving way to Bob Bushnell, and Mike Cobb handing over the…
