Winning Envirothon Team!!!!

A little birdy told me that the winning team at this year's State Envirothon competition was from our very own Helena High School! For the second year in a row, the winning team is from HHS. The third place team was from Capital High!!! The Conservation District sponsored the 4 teams that went this year from Helena and Capital High schools, and will assist the winning team to get to the North American Envirothon. Congratulations!!!!

Cheatgrass Management Seminar-2017

The Lewis and Clark Conservation District and the Lewis and Clark County Weed District are co-hosting a seminar on the management of “cheatgrass” on forage and range/pasture land.  Lunch will be provided.  Six  RE-CERTIFICATION CREDITS WILL BE OFFERED FOR PRIVATE, COMMERCIAL AND GOVERNMENT APPLICATORS. Tree Ordering Time!!!!

  Fall brings with it the time to order trees for spring planting!  Lewis & Clark Conservation District used to have a program that they ran via a nursery in North Dakota, but after a few years of bad experiences, we have opted to go with working out of the DNRC Conservation Seedling Nursery in Missoula. Because of the minimums required for ordering, another alternative is to submit the order to the County Extension office where they'll bundle your order together with other smaller orders.
