Ranching For Rivers-Cost Share Program

  The Missouri River Conservation Districts Council (MRCDC) and the Soil and Water Conservation Districts of Montana (SWCDM), have announced that another round of funding is available through the Ranching for Rivers program. Ranching for Rivers is a cost-share program to help ranchers with riparian pasture/fencing projects. This current round of funding will be focused on projects east of the Continental Divide (Missouri and Yellowstone River Basins), but applications from other areas will be considered. 2017 Weed Cost Share Program

The Conservation District is once again offering a Weed Cost Share program.  Up to $1500 per landowner, $5000 for a group project or 50% of: Herbicide only for individual sprayers Commercial application costs and chemical for commercial application Biological controls Re-seeding with a native mix as approved by the Conservation District Contract award and selection will be based on: New invader management Noxious weeds on the State and County priority lists Use of integrated weed management practices Revegetation program Rangeland/forestland invasive species Applications for the program will be accepted through March 31, 2017.  Projects will be ranked by the Weed…

Potential for Flooding

With all the snow, the iced over streams and the potential for rain on snow, we would like to encourage landowners to be safe about their streams and risk of flooding.  We've already started to receive phone calls about what people can do and what they are allowed to do.
