June Board Meeting

The next regular meeting of the Lewis & Clark Conservation District will be June 9.  It will begin at 8:30 a.m. and takes place at the Dearborn Community Center, 5855 Highway 434 outside of Wolf Creek Mt.  Also, here are the minutes from the May meeting and the Agenda for the June Meeting. Flood Awareness at EVMS!

Since the spring of 2008, the Lewis & Clark Conservation District has worked with area agencies to bring Flood Awareness to the East Valley Middle School.  What began with a parent visit during an open house in the fall of 2007, turned into a 9 year commitment to education. May Board Meeting

The next regular board meeting of the Lewis & Clark Conservation District will be May 12, 2016.  The meeting will take place at the Augusta Youth Center, on main street, in Augusta Montana.  It will begin at 1 p.m. The minutes to the last board meeting are here and the notice and agenda for the May meeting are here. Cost Share Program

The Lewis & Clark Conservation District Board of Supervisors has approved a Cost Share Program for 2016.  They have allocated $7500 of the budget for the year for project work by landowners.  Practices include--but are not limited to--culvert replacement, cross-fencing, riparian area fencing, grass and/or pollinator seeding, irrigation diversion improvements, tree/shrub planting, etc.  If you are interested, or know someone who might be, download the application and get it in to us.  If it's a project that we can help with, we can provide up to 50% of the cost of the project or $2500, whichever comes first.  Multiple practices can…

I am out on sick leave today...caught the local crud that's going around I guess.  Ashley is in the office today, but anyone seeking 310 permits from Thursday's board meeting will have to wait til tomorrow.  I'll be mailing/emailing them out in the morning when I'm back in the office.  In the meantime, it's tea and toast and naps for me.  Below is a screen capture from my weather cam looking roughly south west over the valley.  Windy and lots of clouds today.

Board Meeting for February

The next regular board meeting of the Lewis & Clark Conservation District Board of Supervisors will take place February 11, 2016 at 1 pm in the USDA Service Center Conference Room, 790 Colleen Street, Helena MT 59601.   Due to the fact that the January meeting was cancelled, the board will be reviewing and hopefully approving, the 2016 Budget and 2016 Annual Plan of Operations. Special Meeting

There will be a special meeting of the Lewis & Clark Conservation District on Thursday September 24 at 7:30 a.m. at 790 Colleen Street, Helena MT 59601.  The purpose of the meeting is to review an emergency 310 for Mike Wirth for a project on Gladstone Creek.
